History of ResidencySite.com

ResidencySite.com started as the Residency Page in 1995. At that time, I was a third year medical student and was looking for medical residency web pages to get more information on potential interviews. Back then, Yahoo had only a few hundred sites, and I could name the number of medical residency pages on one hand. Even so, I began to compile URLs and placed them on one page. Officials from residency programs continued to ask me to list them, and I painstakingly added them one by one.

Then something called residency happened, and I obviously didn't have the time to update the list. Remarkably, medical students still kept coming to the site and we even helped a few IMGs secure residency positions along the way.

Although I am now out of residency and in private practice, the excitement and the challenges of a new change in a young physicians' life is an experience that can't be matched. And that is what drove ResidencySite.com to be launched again.
